Refund Policy
Effective Date: July 2026
Empowered Pathways maintains limited cohort sizes and prepares materials, staffing, technology, and program resources in advance. The following policy applies to cancellations, withdrawals, missed sessions, payment plans, and program changes.
Private-Pay Cancellations Before the Program Begins
A parent or guardian may request cancellation by emailing brianne@1empowered.com.
For the Fall 2026 program:
-
Cancellation requests received on or before September 2, 2026, are eligible for a refund of tuition payments made, minus any nonrefundable payment-processing fees.
-
Cancellation requests received after September 2, 2026, are not eligible for a refund unless otherwise required by law.
A cancellation request is considered received on the date it is delivered to the Empowered Pathways email address listed above.
Withdrawals After the Program Begins
The Fall 2026 program begins on September 16, 2026.
Once the program has begun, tuition is nonrefundable. Refunds, credits, or prorated adjustments will not be issued for voluntary withdrawal, scheduling conflicts, changes in personal circumstances, or failure to attend.
Exceptions may be considered when required by law or under extraordinary circumstances at the sole discretion of Empowered Pathways. Any exception must be confirmed in writing.
Private Payment Plans
Selecting a payment plan divides the total tuition into scheduled payments. It does not create a pay-per-session arrangement.
Families who cancel after the applicable refund deadline or withdraw after the program begins remain responsible for all scheduled payments unless Empowered Pathways agrees otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different result.
Failure to complete scheduled payments may result in suspension or cancellation of the student’s participation.
Step Up For Students Direct Payment
Families using Step Up For Students scholarship funds are responsible for completing all required EMA Marketplace actions and maintaining sufficient available scholarship funds.
Cancellations, withdrawals, reserved funds, service fulfillment, and payments involving Step Up For Students will be handled according to current Step Up For Students requirements and applicable law.
When required, Empowered Pathways will cancel or adjust an EMA reservation or invoice for services that were not provided. Scholarship funds will not be converted into a cash refund to the family.
If scholarship funding is denied, unavailable, delayed, or insufficient, the family remains responsible for selecting an available private-payment option if they wish to secure or continue enrollment.
Missed Sessions
Refunds, tuition reductions, or credits will not be issued for sessions missed by a student.
When available, virtual students may receive private replay access or supplemental materials. Replay access is not guaranteed for every circumstance and does not replace the benefits of live participation.
Cohort Changes and Transfers
Enrollment applies only to the student and cohort identified during registration.
Requests to transfer between the virtual and in-person cohorts are subject to availability and must be approved in writing. Enrollment may not be transferred to another student or family without written approval.
Removal From the Program
A student may be removed for serious or repeated conduct that is disruptive, unsafe, threatening, inappropriate, or harmful to the group environment.
A student removed for conduct reasons may not be eligible for a refund, subject to applicable law and the circumstances involved.
Changes Made by Empowered Pathways
Empowered Pathways may make reasonable changes to session content, delivery methods, technology, location, or scheduling when necessary.
If a session is canceled by Empowered Pathways, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule it or provide an appropriate alternative.
Program Cancellation
If Empowered Pathways cancels the entire program before it begins, private-pay families will receive a refund of tuition payments made.
For Step Up For Students families, related EMA reservations, invoices, or payments will be canceled, adjusted, or returned as required by Step Up For Students procedures.
If the entire program is discontinued after it begins, refunds or scholarship adjustments will be determined based on the portion of the program not provided and any requirements imposed by applicable law or Step Up For Students.
